Chateau Batailley Vintage 2006 MagnumA wine from the Borie Manoux stable and run, since 1961, by Emile Casteja. A traditional claret and a firm favourite of ours. The 2006 vintage was a good vintage for the region, but was overshadowed by 2005. Typical Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. 75cl Bottle. Abv% Not Stated Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck.
The 1986 vintage was very good for the region
As a wine producer it was highly regarded early in its history
who was from the Chablis region originally
A good effort and fair value
allowing the wine's complexity and precision to shine
Unsurprisingly tertiary on the palate too: toffee
wine level 3cm below base of neck
Drink now and over next 3-5 years
but some nice vintage wines were made
open ripe wine for mid-term drinking
minerality and precision
I can’t recall ever having this particular vintage of Mouton before
